Rodos Palace International Open Chess Tournament 2026

In case of a tie, prizes are divided by the Hort system. A player qualifying for more than one prize receives all of them.

9-round Swiss system, FIDE rated. Open to all players with a valid FIDE ID number.
90 minutes for 40 moves + 15 minutes for the rest of the game + 30 seconds increment from move 1.
A player forfeits the game if not present at the board within 30 minutes of the starting time.

FIDE Anti-Cheating rules and guidelines are valid for this tournament. Fair play is strictly enforced.
Written appeals within 20 minutes of game completion, accompanied by a €150 deposit. Refunded if granted; forfeited and added to 1st place prize if refused.

Entry fees fully refundable (minus transaction costs) before 19 July 2026. After that date, a €10 late fee applies.
Official accommodation packages are sold out. Players without an already confirmed package pay the applicable tournament entry fee.
